This is what I've been working on in my digital painting class and also for Halftone which I've decided to make into a comic... WOOT. Every chapter/book I make will be a different villain, but as of yet, I have nothing written out as I don't have a lot of free time...

my original description of this comic is in this pic [link] if you have no idea what I'm talking about or need a refresher.

I'm supposed to be uploading a character line up as well but it's not done yet, I still have a couple more to draw. I happened to finish this first (just cuz it was due in my class and such) so you get a sneak peak of the characters!!!!

I don't like anime or manga, but I do like graphic novels. I'll admit I don't read a lot of comics, but that doesn't mean I can't draw and write my own for the people :P

I just feel you doing Such simple grphic novels is almost a waste to your art talent. The reason i say that is cause the story line of almost all American graphic novels are too simple and it takes away from the greatness of the art. As for some of the better Japanese comics have very deep storys and it hooks you in makes you want to read more! Im not trying to be an ass or tell you what to do, but i was just saying what i felt.

well who says it's gonna look so simple? you haven't seen what I plan to do yet. Yeah my adventures of emo boy comic was simple but that was the best I could do as a high-schooler with limited resources, and that was really just for fun, I want to get real with this comic.

I really don't like the style of anime and that's why I don't read mangas, I just feel that it all looks about the same and it's just been killed to me (and I'm not trying to put you down, I can tell you really like manga art :P ). I haven't read the stories but I'm sure they can be deep and intriguing. I'm just not into it and that's all.

have you read Maus? that was an amazing graphic novel with amazing art. There's also a Moby Dick comic out there composed of really nice paintings... (here, it's amazing: [link])

If you feel I should be putting my talent in another area, what do you think it should be? (honest question not trying to be rude or anything)

I do not agree with what you said about it all lookingabout the same, if you where too really look at alot of the mangas they do have diferent styles to them. And there are alot of copycat manga styles out there and i hate that. There are alot of manga companys and there is only one that is the best out of all. Shonen jump. all the other companys have bad artists and crapy story writers and they almost all suck at drawing. But shonen jump is where all the real deal manga stuff comes from. Thats where you find more originality in manga. sorry for blabing lol XD

Well i dont think you should put your talent elsewhere. I think comics are sick and you do great at them! (you most likly already know this but ill say it anyway) but i wanna see you bring something to the comic feild that no one has ever seen befor. blow there minds! and i mean with the story too! Make a real story to it! not one of thoughs storys that had an end after evey chapter! But one that has a continuing story that at the end of the chapter it has a cliff hanger! and it makes you want to find out what happens next!
